Wake up call

The most meaningful way of showing our allegiances to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the hope he represents for the six million Tibetan is not  shedding crocodiles tears, but by serving Tibet cause in our own capacity.

The latest audience HH granted to Tibetan communities in Washington D.C on Saturday 10,09 is reminiscent of Tibetan struggle having reached at a cross road. Tibetans can decide to which direction that our struggle can advance. The Chinese government hopes and most Tibetans fear that the Tibetan struggle will lose it lustre, without the charismatic leadership of HH the Dalai Lama. His Holiness is now 73, and how long he will live is a question that no Tibetan wants to ask. But the hard fact is HH will not remain with us for ever. Recently a Tibetan at a professional network meeting NY, expressed the concern about HH's busy schedule.

His Holiness reponsed that he took proper care of himself,  but his current busy schedule is supposed to have reduced considerably.  To a layman's understanding, HH's schedule is extremely tight, but HH expressed that as long as he is healthy, he wants to be useful for the humanity, so he is never tired of this hectic schedule. One very touching and moving thing His Holiness said that Tibetans in Tibet have entrusted their hope for him,so he feels living longer is essential for that.

When I fly from India to U.S, I need several days to adjust due to jet lag. When I have several things to attend in a day, I find it overwhelming and hard to handle it effectively. Based on my own experience I can emphathize the pressure HH might feel for being the centre of attention and energy it requires to keep all schedule. Unless there is a divine intervention, it is pretty mind boggling, how one can manage it all so well.
My cousin noticed that His Holiness' sign of exhaustion, during His Holiness one recent public engagment.
When His Holiness addressed the DC Tibetan community,  He had nearly three hours public teaching and few other meeting, before addressed the Tibetans. It is all one after another event. When we see how much His Holiness dedicated for the Tibetan cause, day and night, tirelessly. It wakes up our consciousness to do what we can do for the Tibetan cause, we require to come out of our comfort zone. It is unethical to leave everything to His Holiness, while we are acting as a spectator.
The gist of His Holiness public address to D.C Tibetan community, summed up in four parts

Be proud of Tibetan identity: As everywhere, His Holiness visited, he urged Tibetan to keep their identity, and be a good ambassador of Tibetan people, whereever  we are. It is very timely reminder of Tibetan to act ethically at all time, and be proud of our Tibetan hiratage.

Broadcasters:  His Holiess lauded the influence of Radio broadcasters to listeners inside Tibet. He urged the staff of both broadcasting, to cross examine and investigate news /issue before broadcast it. As Tibetans inside listen, so it is important to inform them accurately. His Holiness also urged broadcaster to use  more standard grammartically correct Tibetan language in our newscaste.

Shugden: HH called that propitiation of Shugden should be strictly banned, as he was a worshiper before and no longer now. People should aware that stopping Shugden is not merely, because HH said so. Rather, everyone can  investigate the true cause and the necessity of stopping it. He raised this issue one more time, because a Chinese urged him to speak out more strictly about this issue, for the Chinese government is planning to misuse it.

Chinese Tibetan friendship. Chinese and Tibetan should start to develop friendship and association, as reccetly, more attention should be given.
